Bloomfield is conducting a public meeting on The Plan of Conservation and Development on development and infrastructure issues. This is a public meeting for the ten year plan from which Planning and Zoning takes direction. Smart Growth emphasis can decrease pressure on open space and preserve our rural roots. City Center development can be linked with the parks, farms and preserved land by walking and biking trails.

Farm Tour July 17
July 17 at 10:00 at the Lisa Lane Farm. Learn about a threatened historic working farm in a residential neighborhood of Bloomfield that provides food to local residents. Take Wade Street off Blue Hills Avenue (about a block from intersection with Rt 218), follow Wade Street for a few blocks and it will become Lisa Lane and lead you straight to the farm. Park on the east (farm) side of Packard Street just before entering the farm area.
